Passion Over Reason has been playing intermittently for 29 years.  From Cambridge, Ontario, it's two original members David Stainsby (Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar) and Mark Kirk (Drums, Backup Vocals) are still with the band today.  They formed the band back in 1994 while in their 20's,  playing cover music across southwestern Ontario and eventually became independent recording artists.  Jeff Vasey, of Jeff Vasey Music School, joined the band as lead guitarist and back up vocals in 2023.  Allan Medhurst recently joined the band in 2025 as the bassist.  Allan's involvement in the local punk scene in the early 2000s, adds a dynamic edge and fresh energy to the band as they move forward into 2025.   The band has been given accolades for playing a range of the most popular songs throughout the ages from Metallica,  to Elivs, to Taylor Swift, to Post Malone to Morgan Wallen.  Passion Over Reason believes bands can be enjoyed by all generations, not just those who enjoy classic rock.  You will always see a range of ages coming to see the band due to their ability to adapt to all kind of music.  The band currently tours playing cover music at a variety of venues and events.  Their passion for music has always out weighed their reasoning which is why they have vowed never to "grow-up" and just keep living the dream.
